FAI Mechanical Contractors did an excellent job installing Energy Kinetics System 2000. It has made a huge difference in the amount of oil I use every year. In 2003 I used 1392 gallons. Last year I used 617 gallons. I cut my oil bill by more than half. I replaced my heating system with an Energy Kinetics System 2000 in 2005. It has made a huge difference in the amount of oil I use every year. FAI Mechanical Contractors did an excellent job installing the system. It is quiet, efficient, and worth every penny. I highly recommend FAI Mechanical Contractors and the system.

The Buderus boiler has operated like the 21st century piece of engineering it looks like, as quiet and efficient as anyone could imagine. We've been cozy and comfortable ever since, no matter how bad it was outside—and our old house has a lot of energy leaks. One other thing: We\\''re on continuous level billing with National Grid but periodically they make adjustments during the year. After one month of operation they made an adjustment on our January bill to reflect the lower gas usage, it was that significant. There are things people do that make them feel a lot smarter than they really are, and our decision to go with FAI and the Buderus was one of those things. That boiler has operated like the 21st century piece of engineering it looks like, as quiet and efficient as anyone could imagine. There was one time, when the guys working on our upstairs bathroom threw a circuit breaker and cut off the power on a Friday afternoon and I came home to find my wife all worried that we would have to spend the weekend in a freezing house, that I discovered how neat the system was. I went downstairs, reset the circuit breaker, went over to the Buderus, turned it off and back on as you had instructed, and it did the rest: rebooted and went back to work, just like that. Because the guys working on the upstairs bathroom were in and out most of December, they really taxed the three-zone thermostats—they were coming in the cellar door, coming in the first floor door, exposing part of the second floor to outside temperatures as they took out a window—but the system kept on chugging along without a hitch. Once they all left, just after Christmas, we and the house settled in to warm and even temperatures. We''ve been cozy and comfortable ever since, no matter how bad it was outside—and our old house has a lot of energy leaks. One other thing: We're on continuous level billing with National Grid but periodically they make adjustments during the year. After one month of operation they made an adjustment on our January bill to reflect the lower gas usage, it was that significant. So to answer your question, I couldn't feel any better about the Buderus you recommended, about the installation, about the system's operation, about everything connected with it. Thank you for being the guy who brought it home.

In August of 2009 FOPAC, which operates the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden, replaced its 47 year old oil-fired boiler with two Buderus gas boilers. Heating costs decreased dramatically: in FY07 the heating costs totaled $8,916 and in FY09 the heating costs peaked at $13,464. For FY10, after the new boilers were installed, the annual heating cost dropped to $6442. FOPAC contracted with FAI Mechanical for the installation of the new boilers. FOPAC has been very pleased with the installation and maintenance of the efficient new boilers by FAI Mechanical. There was a short window of time in which the installation could be performed because of the heavy use of the building. FAI Mechanical was sensitive to the scheduling requirements, and completed the work on time. They have also been very prompt in responding to service calls. I highly recommend this company.
